Background Information: The country that you know as lyrical city is the most recently recognized country. It was established April 11, 1982. The story of it all made people think that this place was magical, and it even made people move here. Lyrical City is best known for the lyrics of its AMAZING music. On April 11, 1978 a man name Dru Lyrics was walking down the street to his neighbors house Lyrical Eric, they were both very much into music, and thought that one day they could show the world their rapping skills. On this day history was made, because as the day went on Lyrical Eric and Dru Lyrics decided to take a journey. They had said many times before how they were sick and tired of being stuck in old Atlanta Georgia, so just like many others they took a trip. They didn't know where they were going, and they didn't have any money or clothes, they had decided that where ever they ended up they would start a new beginning there. As these two gentlemen made their way around the United States, they came to the conclusion that this isn't where they wanted to be, they wanted a new start a new beginning, and they wanted it now! It had been days since they had seen any food, and this didn't matter to them because all they cared about was making music . These young men had made song after song after song , and only remembered them by memory. 6 Days after April 11, 1978 Lyrical Eric was frustrated, tired, and sore. He told Dru Lyrics that if they didn't find somewhere to start their new lives he would go back home without him. Dru Lyrics however wasn't going for that so he told Lyrical Eric "We are in this together, after we find our place we're going to make it how we want it, and nobody can stop us." Dru Lyrics gave Lyrical Eric a Martin Luther King speech that put him in his place, and immediately Lyrical Eric brushed the idea of leaving Dru Lyrics away. Nearly 20 days after all of this they hadn't found anywhere to live, so they built a boat and took off to the middle of nowhere.Dru Lyrics began to think Lyrical Eric was just being picky, but at the same time he also knew that when they found the place that they needed to be they would hear the music. Out of nowhere Lyrical Eric pointed and shouted "Dru Lyrics do you hear that man, I know you do?" Dru responded "Naw man what are you talking about?" "That music, that music is what i'm talking about, that's the place man. The place we should call home, it's right there in your face. It's the music we've been waiting for day and night." Lyrical Eric said. After listening closer Dru Lyrics suddenly heard the music that they had been waiting for, and a devilish grin slowly crept upon his face. "That is definitely the place to be, the place for you and me, the home away from home, where it's just me and you all alone!" Dru Lyrics said. It was crazy how as soon as they stepped on their new home they immediately began to spit rhymes like it was nothing everything they said rhymed. To them this was the only sign they needed to let them know that they were in the right place, a place they could call their own space. "Yo Dru Lyrics what we gone call it?" asked Lyrical Eric. "Man I don't know, I haven't thought about it" said Dru Lyrics. "I mean our lyrics is dope, so why not Lyrical City?" asked Lyrical Eric.

*Each district dresses according to the name of the district they inhabit. The country district wears western wear while in the reggae district almost everybody has dreads. When I say everybody this include babies, grandparents, mothers, fathers, teenage boys, and even teenage girls.
*Food- Fried chicken, Mac and cheese, corn bread, collard greens, and Jamaican foods (ox-tails, curry chicken ect.) are the most common foods because it is believed that these foods are good for the soul. Not only is it good for the soul, but the people (men) prefer for their women to have a little meat on their bones, but they do not discriminate. :)
National Musical Festivities- This is a four day event in celebration of music. The first night everyone meets around Harmony mountain to hold hands sing the anthem and light the mountain. All the activities for the following days are always different and all of them are music related.
Hip Hop Olympics-Lyrical Eric and Dru Lyrics loved all music but they adored rap music. Each year they have the Hip Hop Olympics in honor of the the two founder's passion of music. Everyone from all over comes stays at the Rap hotel in the Rap district and competes to see who has the most skills lyrically. You must be 13 to compete. This is a major event that everyone looks forward to each year. During the time of the event the people that win the competition(s) walk away with a record label. This is how Lyrical City gets its artist.
*Cultural Norms/Taboo/Customs- In Lyrical City there are only 4 cultural norms they are as followed: 1) If someone raps to you and you feel as if they lyrically were on point then you would battle them to show them that you respect them. However if someone raps to you and you feel as if they are horrible or aren't lyrically stable then you would slap them to show that they are a disgrace to Lyrical City, and also to show them that they disrespected you by waisting your time. Not many people are slapped because it is genetically proven that if your mother or father are lyrically stable then you are too, but there has been a few people that has been slapped down. 2) Another cultural norm would be if you go to someones house to visit you would have to take $6 and give it to the head person of the house. This gesture shows them that you have enough respect for them, and you would like to thank them for their time and/or services that they may have provided you with. Oh, this is also thanks for any food that you may eat while visiting them. This doesn't apply to everyone. IF and only IF you are visiting a family memebers house you do not have to do this, you would only have to bring a dish of the families favorite food. 3) Women must open the door for men. I know this may seem weird, but because women and men are treated equally here in Lyrical City Dru Lyrics and Lyrical Eric thought that the women should do something for the men for once. Another reason they decided to do this is because women always say that they(women) can do anything a man can do BETTER and in heels ! :) 4) You can't go on a date alone with someone of the opposite sex until you have a stable job, and you are making your OWN money. This is for several reasons, well for one this allows you to be independent whether you are dating someone or not. Also because you wouldn't want to go on a date with someone that can't pay a simple bill for themselves, that's just sad. The MAIN reason for this is so that if you don't like the person you go on a date with you can pay for yourself and not have to worry about having to pay them back, because after that date you can just not talk to them anymore ! The government provides the needed things for the economy, and the districts of lyrical city provide their input. They also have small business that they own themselves. Lyrical City's economy is mainly based on their music industry. The sweet sounds of lyrical city is known around the world. They sell on average of 8 billion albums per year with only around 300 people producing music. Lyrical city has a stable economy but does have the major problem of deforestation. Being that Lyrical City is located in the rain forest we lose many animals due to the destruction of the rain forest. *Government: Our form of government is a Constitutional Monarchy. In our government their is a monarch (king, queen, etc) that acts as the head of state within the boundaries of our constitution , or a written document. Currently The King Of Lyrics, K.L. Michael, is used for much more ceremonial and traditional purposes. He is also the greatest lyricist in Lyrical City and is the head judge of the Hip-Hop Olympics. The Prime Musicster (equivalent to the prime minister in other countries and is currently P.M. Jackson ) is the person who actually governs us and is under the executive branch. Our government is similar to , but very much different from an absolute monarchy. The big difference between the two is that an absolute monarchy serves as the sole (only) source of political powers. Also Lyrical city has a federal power distibuion system where there is not one with an extreme amount of power. Parliamentary: In a constitutional monarchy we have a parliamentary system. This means that the monarch (king, queen, etc) has strict duties or reserved powers. These duties or powers would be determined based on the constitutions boundaries also.

Subdivisions of Power: (Each of Lyrical City's districts have a conductor (which is equivalent to a governor). The conductor of each district is a specialist in the name of their district.

Executive: The King of Lyrics nominates two members from the House Of Consort to be the Prime Musicster and the House of Symphony votes based off what their district likes. The Prime Musicster is the chief executive. Due to Lyrical City being the smallest Country in the world there is only 2 cabinet members. *The minister of advice: is currently the most experienced and most trusted member of the government. He guides the Prime Musicster as his main advisor. *The minister of all other affairs: He helps the Prime Musicster with all the aspects of the government from education to the bus route of Lyrical city.
Legislative: Lyrical city has a bicameral parliament and is split between the House of Symphony and the House of Consort. Every 5 years you elect members to the House of Symphony. Members of the House of Consort are former members of the House of Symphony that has severed at least two terms and are elected by the House of Symphony. There are 13 seats in the House of Symphony and 7 in the House of Consort. The House of Consort mainly proposes bills while the House of Symphony has the main vote if its sent to the Prime Musicster. Judicial: Since Lyrical city is a relatively small country there is only one court and is the Supreme Orchestra of Lyrical City. There are only 5 judges on the Supreme Orchestra and still must abide by the laws of Lyrical City. The Supreme Orchestra handles all cases civil and criminal. They also act as the court of appeals when a case get appealed all five of the judges come together to make a last and final ruling.
*Legal System: Common law, also known as case law or precedent, is law developed by judges through decisions of courts and similar tribunals rather than through legislative statutes or executive branch action.
Political Parties:There are two main political parties are conservative and liberal; however, Lyrical City is predominately liberal due to the people's free spirits and beliefs. Currently the majority of the legislatior leaders are liberal democrats. P.M. Jackson has beliefs of both parties but is registered as a Liberal democrat.
